I just love flank steak. It is one of the easiest things to grill on the BBQ. There are so many great flank steak recipes in my head that it is just a little difficult to pick which one to write on today. Flank steak is a really easy cut of meat to grill. All it takes is about eight minutes on a medium high heat grill. Basically, after you marinate it for about three hours, then you can grill this up. After about 6 min. then you would want to start checking your temperatures.
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 1/2 to 2 pounds lean flank steak
* 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 2 medium cloves garlic, finely minced
* 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
* 1 teaspoon Creole or cajun seasoning
* salt and peppper to taste
* Juice of 1/2 lemon, about 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons
* 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1 tablespoon honey
PREPARATION:
For this great flank steak recipe, pierce the flank steak all over with a sharp fork. Put the steak in a shallow nonreactive dish or food storage bag.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over the flank steak and turn several times to coat thoroughly with the mixture. Seal or cover the container and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, turning occasionally.
Heat the broiler (or grill). Position the oven rack about 4 inches from the heat source. Take the steak out of the marinade and place on the hot broiler pan. Broil for about 5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until done as desired, depending on personal preference and thickness.
Serves 4 to 6.
